Why Technology Connoisseurs Will Love the Lexus NX

Lexus added the NX 200t and NX 300h to it’s product offering in 2014 as a new 2015 model. This Lexus is the first of it’s kind for the brand offering a 2.0-liter turbo engine and new technology. The Lexus NX is a compact crossover suv that competes with the likes of the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA250, and Audi Q3 by offering superb comfort and reliability.

It is slightly smaller than the Lexus RX 350 and offers a more nimble, sporty drive. This alone makes it standout among the Lexus line-up to young, sophisticated drivers, but the technology inside the NX seals the deal.

 Remote Touch Navigation

Lexus introduced a new remote touch pad on the NX and RC which allows users quick and easy access to climate controls, navigation, audio, and more. Unlike the previous remote touch system in the Lexus vehicles, the NX uses a remote touch pad that can be quickly familiarized as it works much like a laptop mouse pad. Furthering accessibility and control, the Lexus Remote Touch Pad allows users to make pinch, swipe, or flick gestures much like on today’s smartphones.

Wireless Phone Charging

Also available in the NX 200t and NX 300h is the optional Qi Wireless Charging System. Using inductive charging, the Qi charger offers drivers a fuss-free and convenient way to charge their smartphones. Many of the Android phones on the market offer built in wireless charging and Apple iPhone users may opt to purchase a wireless charging case to take full advantage of the Qi Wireless Charger.

Siri Eyes Free

Siri Eyes Free comes standard on any NX model. This feature allows drivers to send text, book appointments, or play music all by the push of a button. To access Siri Eyes Free, simply hold the off-hook button on the steering wheel phone controls until you’re prompted by your phone to say a command.

Dynamic Display

The Lexus NX offers drivers a 4.2-inch, full color, customizable Multi-Information Display (MID) located in the gauge cluster. This MID allows quick and easy access to data such as miles until empty (fuel), navigation directions, incoming calls, song information, and more. On F-sport models, the MID will also display turbo boost and G-force data.
